Principal's Message

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sukna, a temple of learning was established in 1977 in Kolkata Region by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body of HRD Ministry, Govt. of India is sincerely engaged in the pursuit of excellence as pace setter institution for providing quality education. The aim of the Vidyalaya has always been to inculcate the best talent in children and to prepare them for the challenges of the challenging world through emphasis on self discipline, high intellectual achievements and physical fitness.

The Vidyalaya is having Three sections in each class from I to X with Science & Humanities at +2 level. The Vidyalaya has an ideal teacher-pupil ratio, competent and caring teaching & non teaching staff,modern teaching aids, well developed play grounds, laboratories, resource centre, workshop and pollution free campus.

The Vidyalaya has computer labs for running computer classes with a provision of offering Computer Science and Informatics Practices as an elective subject at +2 stage. The Vidyalaya's aim is all round development of the pupil through Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation.

The children are provided ample opportunities to take part in curricular and co-curricular programmes at Vidyalaya, Regional and National Level. The Vidyalaya has well equipped library with more than 18,000 books in stock and well furniture.

Medical check up of every child twice a year, class-wise excursion and PTA, extra classes for late bloomers during Autumn and Winter breaks are some of the important regular features of our Vidyalaya. The Vidyalaya is also having the internet facility for enriching knowledge pertaining to science, new technologies, research, innovations and much more in the era of digital world.
